The tower erection process consists of three major steps:
Site Surveys and Site Designs. Extensive data collection and evaluation of customer locations, configurations, and requirements; interpretation of site data integrated with new system requirements and complemented by full documentation.
Site Preparation and Civil Works. Preliminary site infrastructure work to enhance power, grounding, wiring, and mechanical assembly.
Installation. Logical population of system electronics, interconnections, and preliminary testing
Do you need an independent design verification?
Our state licensed, certified professional structural engineers routinely perform independent design verifications, using the latest software from RISA and Tower Numerics.
All tower designs are verified against the latest standards such as:
ANSI/TIA-222-G (including TIA-222-G-1 and TIA-222-G-2).
The National Electrical Code, NFPA 70, provides communications system installation requirements in Chapter 8. Other NEC Articles may also apply, especially those in Chapter 5. The IEEE provides many communications-related standards. If you go to the IEEE Website's Standards library and select "Communications" you will see these. It's a huge list, but only certain ones will apply to your specific application.
Some state and local authorities have additional state requirements. Check with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to determine which, if any, state and local requirements apply.
